YouTube Channel ID Finder
Find the UC... channel ID of any YouTube channel from its @handle, custom URL, or channel page link.
A YouTube channel ID is the permanent UC... identifier for a channel, different from its @handle or custom URL. To find it, paste a channel's handle, custom URL, or any page link and the tool returns the exact UC ID β the value the YouTube API and most integrations actually require. Free, instant, no signup.
How to use the Channel ID Finder
- 1Paste the channel reference
Enter the channel's @handle (like @mkbhd), full URL, or old-style custom URL.
- 2Resolve the ID
Click Find. The tool resolves it through the official YouTube API to the canonical UC... identifier.
- 3Verify and copy
Check the channel card (name, avatar, subscribers) to confirm it's the right channel, then copy the ID.
About the Channel ID Finder
What it does
Every YouTube channel has a permanent canonical ID starting with 'UC' followed by 22 characters - but YouTube hides it behind friendly @handles and custom URLs. This tool resolves any channel handle, URL, or username to its true channel ID in seconds.
Who uses it, and why
Channel IDs are required for the YouTube Data API, RSS feed subscriptions (youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UC...), third-party analytics platforms, Discord/Slack integrations, and embed widgets. Unlike handles - which creators can change anytime - the UC ID never changes, making it the reliable identifier for any technical integration.
How it works
Paste anything: an @handle, a full channel URL, an old /c/ or /user/ custom URL, or even a UC ID to verify it. You'll get the canonical ID plus a summary card with the channel's name, avatar, and subscriber count so you can confirm you found the right channel.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a channel ID and a handle?
The handle (@name) is a changeable, human-friendly username. The channel ID (UC...) is the permanent internal identifier that never changes even if the channel rebrands. APIs and integrations should always use the channel ID.
How do I get a channel's RSS feed?
Once you have the channel ID, the RSS feed URL is: youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=YOUR_UC_ID - this tool shows the ready-made feed link with every result.
Can I find the ID of my own channel without this tool?
Yes - go to YouTube Studio β Settings β Channel β Advanced settings, where your channel ID is listed. For other people's channels, this tool is the fastest way.
Why does my channel have both a /c/ URL and an @handle?
YouTube migrated all channels to @handles in 2022-2023. Old custom /c/ URLs still redirect but are legacy. The underlying UC channel ID stayed the same through all these changes - which is exactly why integrations use it.
